On Jan. 4, 2019, plaintiff Dennis Caruso, was operating his motorized scooter on Ferry Francois Drive, in San Francisco. When he was near the intersection with 16th Street, he was thrown from his scooter. Caruso claimed to his left shoulder. Caruso sued the owner of the roadway, the city and county of San Francisco, alleging that it failed to properly repair and/or maintain the roadway, creating a dangerous condition.
