FACTS
In 2013, plaintiff Meliza Castellon, a woman in her 30s, was driving in Pomona when the left, front corner of her vehicle was broadsided by the right, front corner of a student driver/instructor-operated vehicle. Castellon claimed to her neck and back. Castellon sued the student driver, Silva Dishoian, and the instructor, Youssef El Chami. Castellon contended that Dishoian and El Chami were both negligent in the operation of the vehicle, as both had access to driving the vehicle. Defense counsel contended that Castellon was at least partly responsible for the accident., Castellon claimed that she sustained soft-tissue to her neck and back.
